Paw & Leaf Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed when you use the Paw & Leaf Android app, why that data may be used, which third-party services may be used, and what controls you have over your data.
Paw & Leaf is a care tracking app that helps you manage pet and plant care profiles, tasks, reminders, photos, care history, and optional Premium features in one app.
Paw & Leaf follows a data-minimization approach. The app is not intended to collect personal data that is not needed for its features, and it does not aim to collect contacts, SMS, microphone data, precise location, or private file contents outside the app.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Policy covers data that Paw & Leaf may process for living profiles, care tasks, reminders, photo journals, care statistics, app settings, optional account sign-in, cloud backup, AI suggestions, data export, ads, and Premium subscription checks.
2. Data Categories That May Be Processed
Paw & Leaf may process the following data categories in a limited, purpose-based, and local-first manner:
- Living profile data: Pet or plant name, type, category, notes, care preferences, and profile details added by the user.
- Task and reminder data: Titles, dates, repeat settings, completion states, and care history for feeding, watering, care, medication, cleaning, checks, or similar routines.
- Photo and visual records: Profile or care photos added by the user, photo metadata, and record information linked to a photo.
- Statistics data: Completed tasks, missed tasks, routine performance, care history, and period-based summaries.
- Account and cloud backup data: If you sign in, basic session information provided through your Google account, user ID, and technical records needed for cloud backup/synchronization.
- Premium and subscription status: Purchase/subscription verification state used to enable Premium features such as cloud backup, AI suggestions, advanced statistics, data export, and ad-free usage.
- App preferences: Language, theme, notification preferences, onboarding state, plan preference, local settings, and similar configuration data.
3. Free Plan and Premium Features
Paw & Leaf may provide basic usage in the free plan. In the free plan, profile, task, reminder, and photo usage may be limited, and ads may be shown.
The Premium plan may include unlimited living profiles, unlimited tasks, unlimited photos, cloud backup, advanced statistics, AI suggestions, data export, and ad-free usage. Account, subscription, or purchase verification records may be processed to operate these features.
4. Local Data and Cloud Backup
In basic use, Paw & Leaf may store many data items locally on your device. Local data is kept inside Android's app sandbox and is normally not readable by other apps.
If you sign in or enable cloud backup, supported profile, task, reminder, care history, statistics, and photo metadata may be backed up or synchronized to secure cloud infrastructure such as Firebase/Cloud Firestore or similar services.
The purpose of cloud backup is to preserve data when changing devices and keep supported records consistent for the same account. This data is not used to build advertising profiles or sold to third parties.
5. Photos and Media Access
When you choose to add a photo, Paw & Leaf may use Android Photo Picker, gallery access, or a file picker. This access is used only to link photos selected by the user to a profile or care record.
The app is not intended to collect photos or media files that you do not select. Photos may be stored locally; if cloud backup is enabled, supported photo records or photo metadata may be backed up and linked to your account.
6. Reminders and Notifications
Paw & Leaf may use notifications and scheduled reminders to remind you about care tasks. Notifications may use limited data such as task name, related living profile, reminder time, and completion state.
Notification permissions can be disabled in device settings. If permissions are disabled, reminder features may be limited.
7. AI Suggestions
AI suggestions offered to Premium users may use limited care information entered into the app in order to generate care routine or task suggestions.
AI suggestions are not definitive veterinary, botanical, medical, or professional care advice. You should seek expert help for important health, safety, or care decisions.
The technical behavior of AI features may vary by app version. When required, only the minimum data needed to generate suggestions is processed.
8. Ads and Ad-Free Usage
Ads may be shown in the free plan. Paw & Leaf may use Google AdMob or similar ad services for ad delivery. These services may process limited technical information such as advertising ID, device information, approximate location, or interaction data according to their own policies for ad delivery, measurement, security, and abuse prevention.
Ad-free usage may be provided for Premium users. Premium status may be verified through Google Play or the relevant purchase infrastructure.
9. Android Permissions Used
Paw & Leaf may use the following Android permissions only for the purposes described below. Some permissions require user approval from device settings:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to show task and care reminders.
- INTERNET: May be used for cloud backup, sign-in, subscription verification, ads, and supported online features.

10. Third-Party Services

11. Data Sharing
Paw & Leaf does not sell personal data. Data may be processed as needed to operate app features, provide cloud backup, verify Premium status, show ads, protect security, comply with legal obligations, or respond to support requests.
Technical infrastructure providers may process data only as needed for the relevant service. Paw & Leaf is not intended to sell your care history to third parties for advertising purposes.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data may be deleted when you uninstall the app, clear app data from device settings, or use the relevant clear/delete options inside the app.
If cloud backup is used, supported data stored in the cloud may be linked to your account. To request deletion of cloud data, use the in-app data deletion options or contact us through the email address below.
Google Play payment, purchase, and subscription history is managed by Google Play and may not be directly deletable by Diskora.
13. Security
Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect data. Local data is kept inside Android's app sandbox, and cloud data is stored with account-based access controls.
No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
14. Children’s Privacy
Paw & Leaf is a general care tracking app and is not intended to specifically collect personal data from children. Minors should use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe that a child’s personal data has been processed improperly, you can contact us.
15. Your Rights and Controls
Depending on your country, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, or portability of your data.
Inside the app, you can disable permissions, sign out from your Google account, disable cloud backup, export your data, clear app data, or uninstall the app. These actions may limit some features.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When updates are made, the last updated date at the top of the page will change. Significant changes may be announced in the app or on the website.
