Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Diskora, how that information is used, and what measures are taken to protect your privacy.
Diskora is a desktop application that helps you analyze storage usage, categorize files, detect duplicate files, and perform cleanup actions you choose.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Policy describes what data Diskora processes, where data is stored, the purposes for which data is used, whether data is shared with third parties, how long data is retained, your rights, and how to contact us.
2. What Data Does Diskora Process?
Diskora may access and process certain data on your device in order to provide its features. The categories below may be processed locally.
2.1 Storage & File System Data (Local)
When you run a scan, Diskora may process the following information locally for the drives or folders you select:
- File and folder names
- File extensions
- File and folder paths
- Size information (bytes/KB/MB/GB)
- File counts and folder counts
- Category matches (e.g., Games, Apps, Videos, Music, etc.)
- Summarized metadata used for lists such as largest files
2.2 Cleanup & Tools Operations (Local)
When you use Diskora’s cleanup and analysis tools, Diskora may process selected cleanup targets and summary information about cleanup actions locally, such as operation name, duration, and result.
Diskora performs cleanup actions only when you initiate or confirm them.
2.3 App Settings (Local)
Diskora stores configuration locally to remember your preferences, such as:
- Language choice
- Run at startup settings
- Run as administrator preferences
- Scan options such as eco mode
- UI preferences and other configuration
2.4 In-App Logs (Local)
Diskora may keep small local logs for debugging and quality improvements. Logs can include events such as scan started/stopped, cleanup started/completed, error logs, and simple metrics such as operation duration.
Where supported, logs may be stored encrypted and compressed on your device. Exact behavior can vary by version.
2.5 Optional Online Content
Diskora may optionally support online content for sections like Home, Announcements, or Discover. If enabled, the app may download text and images from a configured URL.
Standard network information, such as your IP address and common request headers like User-Agent, may be visible to the hosting service. If this feature is disabled or no URL is configured, Diskora does not fetch online content.
2.6 Microsoft Store Purchase Information
If Diskora offers in-app purchases, donations, or add-ons through Microsoft Store, payment and billing are processed by Microsoft. As the developer, we typically do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. What Diskora Does Not Collect
- Credit card or banking details
- Personal messages or file contents
- Keystrokes, screen recordings, microphone/camera data
- Contacts/address book data
- Sensitive personal data such as health or biometrics
4. Purposes of Processing
- Perform storage analysis
- Categorize and list files
- Detect duplicate files
- Execute cleanup actions you choose

5. Where Data Is Stored
Diskora primarily uses local storage. Settings, cache, scan results, and logs are typically stored under your Windows user profile, such as LocalAppData.
If online content is enabled, downloaded content may also be cached locally for a limited period.
6. Sharing of Data
By default, Diskora does not share your data with third parties.
- Microsoft Store: Purchases, subscriptions, or donations are handled through Microsoft’s systems.
- External links: When you open websites such as GitHub, Discord, or other services, those sites may collect certain data under their own policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose limited information if required by law, such as by court order.
7. Data Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data, including safe local file handling, error prevention, data minimization, and encryption/compression for logs where applicable.
However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
- Settings: Stored until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Cache / scan results: May be retained for performance and can be cleared via the app or the system.

9. Children’s Privacy
Diskora is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as requesting information about processed data, correction, deletion, objection or restriction of processing, and portability where applicable.
Because most Diskora data is stored locally, these rights are typically exercised by clearing data in the app and/or uninstalling the app.
11. Third-Party Services & Links
Diskora may include links to third-party services such as websites, social platforms, or Discord. Their privacy practices may differ. Please review their policies before using them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the Last Updated date accordingly. Significant changes may be announced in-app.
