Gamer+ Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed when you use the Gamer+ Android app, why that data may be used, which permissions are requested, and what controls you have over your data.
Gamer+ is a game launcher and gaming utility app that helps you manage your games from one screen, track game sessions, use an optional in-game overlay, and access gaming tools more quickly.
Gamer+ follows a data-minimization approach. The app is not intended to collect personal data that is not needed for its features, and it does not collect camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, photo gallery, or precise location data.
1. What This Policy Covers
This Policy covers data that Gamer+ may process for the game library, launch history, session tracking, statistics screen, overlay services, booster panel, internet speed test, notifications, home screen widget, app settings, optional account sign-in, and cloud synchronization.
2. Data Categories That May Be Processed
Gamer+ may process the following categories of data in a limited, purpose-based, and local-first manner:
- Game library data: App name, package name, favorite status, and game profile preferences for games detected on the device or manually added by the user.
- Game history and statistics: Launch count, last played time, launch timestamps, session start/end times, total play time, daily/weekly/monthly summaries, and per-game statistics.
- Active session data: Temporary information such as the package name, game name, and start time of the currently active game session.
- App preferences: Theme, language, navigation style, onboarding state, performance mode, sidebar state, overlay metric preferences, and notification preferences.
- Account and cloud sync data: If you sign in, basic session information provided through your Google account, user ID, and technical records needed for cloud statistics synchronization.
- Device status metrics: Technical information such as RAM, CPU, battery percentage, battery temperature, charging state, network type, ping, and connection status shown in the overlay or booster screens.
3. Local Data and Cloud Synchronization
In basic use, Gamer+ stores many data items locally on your device. Local data is kept inside Android's app sandbox and is normally not readable by other apps.
If you sign in or enable cloud synchronization, game statistics and session summaries may be synchronized to secure cloud infrastructure such as Firebase/Cloud Firestore. The purpose of this synchronization is to preserve statistics when changing devices and keep data consistent for the same account.
Cloud-synced data may include game name, package name, launch count, last played time, session durations, and period-based statistics. This data is not used to build advertising profiles or sold to third parties.
4. Game Library and Installed App Scanning
Gamer+ may scan launchable apps on your device to build the game library. This is done to identify possible games and show them in your game list.
During scanning, app name, package name, app category, and similar technical information may be used. Gamer+ does not use this scan to read your messages, files, photos, or personal content inside other apps.
5. Game Sessions and Statistics
Gamer+ may record when games are launched, how long they are played, and when they were last played in order to display game session statistics.
This data powers home screen summaries, the statistics screen, per-game detail pages, last played information, daily/weekly/monthly filters, longest session, and total play time features.
To reduce duplicate records, when the same game is detected by multiple sources within a short time, Gamer+ may treat those detections as a single event. This helps keep statistics more accurate.
6. Overlay, Booster, and Real-Time Metrics
When the overlay feature is enabled, Gamer+ may display a small information panel over a game. This panel may show FPS-like live measurements, network speed, ping, play time, battery, temperature, CPU, or RAM information.
The booster screen works as a safe pre-game status panel rather than an aggressive system cleaner. It may display RAM status, battery level, temperature, charging state, and network connection to provide useful suggestions.
Some real-time metrics are calculated only for live display. Unless specifically needed for statistics or diagnostics, these metrics are not stored to create a persistent personal profile.
7. Android Permissions Used
Gamer+ may use the following Android permissions only for the purposes described below. Some permissions require explicit approval in device settings:
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW / Draw over other apps: Used to display the in-game overlay panel.
- PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS / Usage Access: Used to detect when library games are opened, track session duration, and add games launched outside Gamer+ to statistics.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to show game session, timer, overlay status, and warning notifications.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE and related foreground service permissions: Used to keep overlay, session tracking, and play time services running reliably in the background.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: May be used to prepare required game detection or session services after the device restarts.
- REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: If approved by the user, may be used to reduce interruptions caused by battery optimizations for overlay and session tracking.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to display network type and connection state.
- INTERNET: May be used for cloud synchronization, speed testing, Google/Firebase services, or web-based tools.
- REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES: May be used to open Android's system uninstall screen when the user requests app removal. Gamer+ does not silently or directly delete apps.
8. Notifications and Background Services
Gamer+ may show notifications for active game sessions, overlay state, booster reminders, low battery, high temperature, or similar status updates.
Some features may run as foreground services as required by Android. These services run with a visible notification and are intended to keep session tracking or the overlay experience reliable.
9. Internet Speed Test and Network Features
Gamer+ may include a lightweight speed test or links to web-based speed test pages. The lightweight test may make small network requests to estimate connection speed.
If you open an external speed test website or browser link, that third-party service's own privacy policy and cookie/data processing rules may apply.
10. Home Screen Widget
Gamer+ may offer a play time or daily usage summary widget that can be added to the device home screen. The widget reads only the game session and statistics data stored by the app to display summary information.
11. Third-Party Services
Gamer+ may use the following third-party or platform services. Their own privacy policies and terms may also apply:
- Google Play: For app distribution, updates, purchases, or subscriptions.
- Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication: For account sign-in and account verification.
- Firebase / Cloud Firestore: For cloud statistics synchronization and secure storage of user game data.
- Android system services: For notifications, usage access, overlay, battery optimization, and uninstall screens.
- External speed test or web links: When opened by the user, for the relevant third-party web services.
12. Data Sharing
Gamer+ does not sell personal data. Data may be processed only as needed to operate app features, provide cloud synchronization, protect security, comply with legal obligations, or respond to support requests.
Technical infrastructure providers such as cloud service providers may process data only to the extent needed to provide the service. Gamer+ is not intended to sell or share your game history for advertising purposes.
13. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data may be deleted when you uninstall the app, clear app data from device settings, or use relevant in-app cleanup options.
If cloud synchronization is used, cloud statistics may be associated with your account. You can contact us to request deletion of cloud data.
For performance and storage efficiency, game launch events and session records may be stored with limits. When limits are reached, older records may be automatically removed or summarized.
14. Security
Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect data. Local data is stored inside the Android app sandbox, and cloud data is protected through account-based access controls.
Security rules are intended to ensure that users can access only data associated with their own account. However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
15. Children's Privacy
Gamer+ is a general gaming utility app and is not intended to specifically collect personal data from children. Users under the legal age in their region should use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe that a child's personal data has been processed improperly, you can contact us.
16. Your Rights and Controls
Depending on your country, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, or data portability regarding your data.
Inside the app, you can disable permissions, sign out of your Google account, disable cloud synchronization, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Some features may be limited when these controls are used.
17. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When updates are made, the last updated date at the top of the page will change. Significant changes may be announced in the app or on the website.
